Events and Outside Exhibitions as they become known

This Summer ..
We had a trip to the wildlife at Smarden, all big cats, organised by Malcolm Dilloway and several of our new members came along. We had a really good day enhanced by good weather and excellent organisation which enabled us photographers to get some exciting shots of the these magnificent animals at really close quarters.
Photographic Treasure
Hunt:
A member puts together a page of clues centred on for example, Maidstone
or a country village and photographs them, those entering are divided
into two teams who each organise a day when the clues must be found and
photographed. A club evening is held when each team submits their answer
which is compared to the original taken by the organiser and marks are
allocated for the nearest picture. This results in much barracking and
general insubordination aimed at the judges for the competition and a
good evening is had by all. This year it was based on Tonbridge on 24th July and although it rained persistently all morning, we had a good time, taking shelter and lunching in the High Street to dry out.
Hempstead Valley Exhibition:
An exhibition of club work was held on the 4th, 5th and 6th August at the Hempstead Valley shopping centre, where we attracted the attention of the crowds, signing up several new members in the process. Although we were sited at the BHS store end of the mall we were kept busy with a couple of members selling work, let's hope we can regain our central position in '06.
Outside Exhibitions:
Information about other shows will be posted here as they become known,
there are usually several exhibitions running in London at various galleries
which members may be interested in visiting - for inspiration?
